The Sega DreamCast for Many is a forgotten console. Sega got a bad reputation maybe from the mass of earlier consoles, and expansion packs need to buy in order to just play one game. Many believe it’s due to the lack of success of earlier consoles; or maybe sega could not compete with the likes of nintendo, and sony. In all actuality the DreamCast competed very well with the nintendo 64, but the playstation 2 destroyed and success they were enjoying. The sega dreamcast was a pioneer in the on-line gaming industry as several of their games had an on-line server set up in which to play your games. Some may argue that the original Xbox is just a copied version of the dreamcast.
There were around 700 games in the Sega DreamCast Library some of the best games enjoyed on the console during its span must have been: The House of the Dead 2, Soul Calibur, Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, PowerStone, and quite possibly the best Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 version. The Marvel Vs. Capcom 2; I do believe to be a direct patch from the arcade. Then many of the popular sports games released on the dreamCast were from 2K Sports, which many DreamCast owners will tell you these sporting games were just as good as or better than that of the Madden and NBA Live Series of games.
